Course ProposalSubmitting a Course Proposal for Approval One goal of the Early Assessment Program (EAP) is to encourage high school seniors to take advantage of their senior year to maintain their math readiness for entry level college work. This is specifically for students who receive a Conditionally Exempt EAP math status. Conditionally Exempt students who take one of the year-long classes on the list of approved courses and earn a grade of C or better in both semesters of such a class, meet the CSU ELM requirement. The approved courses require Conditionally Exempt students to regularly use math in a way that maintains their skills at or above the Algebra 2 level. The CSU recognizes that high schools may offer specialized courses that meet this criteria, but are not on the list of approved courses. For such a course, a teacher or counselor may submit a course proposal for approval by the CSU Mathematics Faculty Validation Committee by providing the following items:
Proposals should be submitted in electronic format (MS Word, RTF, or PDF) to: [email protected] OR on paper to: Mr. Allison G. Jones |
