An important skill needed to succeed at the CSU is the ability to read analytical. In many college level courses, students are asked to engage in critical reading and writing assignments involving newspaper articles, opinion pieces, and essays. Although students are typically well prepared in the mechanics, they often need additional support in reading prose and writing in an expository style.
