Helping you map your way to success in math

If your EAP Math Status is “Non-Exempt”

“Non-Exempt” stats indicates that you do not yet have sufficiently strong math skills to succeed in required college courses. We strongly recommend that you take the ALEKS ELM assessment and take the results to your mathematics teacher for advising.

If you are accepted for admission to CSU, you will be required to take the CSU ELM Exam. Your score on the ELM Exam will determine if you meet the ELM Requirement or if you will be required to take from one to three semesters of non-credit ELM Equivalent Coursework before you can take courses that count toward your degree.
