Exam Prep

If you haven’t met the EPT requirement by other means, you must take the exam before you can register for classes at the CSU. The exam is your last chance to avoid having to enroll in remedial English courses. Prepare seriously by reading daily, practicing your writing skills, and accessing the practice tests on this page.

Online EPT Practice Tests (free)
Two Online EPT Practice Tests are available on this website to help you prepare for the multiple choice portion of the EPT. Here is more information about these tests:
  • Each practice test consists of two sections:
    • Reading Skills (45 questions)
    • Composing Skills (45 questions)
  • Each sectional test must be taken separately.
  • A detailed score report is provided upon completion of each test.
  • All tests are free

Printed EPT Practice Test (free)
