My name is Nicole Serie.  I’m a freshman at Fresno State.  I’m spending a whole year of remedial math before I can even take Math 45, which is gonna’ be a whole 'nother semester so it’s like a year and a half of math that’s just like never ending.    It was kinda' hard ’cause it was in summer and I was like lazy and I just graduated high school and so I don’t know, it was hard.  I didn’t know it was going to be as hard as it was.  And I had a…in high school, I didn’t take math my senior and half of my junior year because I passed all the math classes’ early requirements for graduation, so I really didn’t have a lot of math, like I’d been out of math class for like a year-and-a-half, so when I went to take the test it was like “Wow!” because I hadn’t been practicing math. I hadn’t been doing anything like that.
