If a student's EAP Math Status is “Exempt” then they have met the CSU ELM requirement. Meeting this requirement is the first step towards succeeding in college level math.
About the Exempt Status
The EAP Math Exempt status means that a student is ready to enroll in for-credit math courses at the CSU.
The Exempt status is not a guarantee of admission to the CSU. Students are still required to apply and to satisfy all of the CSU college preparatory coursework.
